Urban contest - design of brewery 13th of November 2007 at Gdańsk Polytechnic, took place a solemn outcome announcement of Student Contest on architectural- town planning project of developing a 7 hectare ground of former Wrzeszcz Brewery.
The Contest Organizer - GÓRSKI - Building Enterprise is going to make a good use of the most interesting visions and innovative projects in their process of planning a new centre for Wrzeszcz.
STUDENTS DESIGNING BREWERY
The owner of former Wrzeszcz Brewery - GÓRSKI - Building Enterprise has invited students to co-created a vision and participate in this way into designing a new Wrzeszcz centre.
Prize Ceremony and outcome announcement of the Student Contest “Browar Wrzeszcz“ took place on 13th November 2007 at Southern Courtyard in Main Edifice of Gdańsk Polytechnic.
Contest’s Board under chairmanship of dr hab. Elżbieta Piątkowska have not granted a first price. The Winners of Contests are (two second places ex aequo) two students of Gdańsk Polytechnic: Krzysztof Pietras i Katarzyna Rosa and a group: Bartosz Arendt i Katarzyna Bedra.
Honourable mention went on hands of Adam Muzalewski and Mariusz Zańko from Poznań Polytechnic.
GÓRSKI - Building Enterprise has founded attractive money prizes for the Winners
(total pool of 18 000 PLN). The most interesting visions, innovative projects and ideas will be used in the process of planning a new “heart” of Wrzeszcz.

On 30th of August 2007 City Council of Gdańsk approved a local plan of spatial development for Brewery area at Kilińskiego Street.
Resolution of guidelines for this plan makes possible to start of investition on the ground of former Wrzeszcz Brewery.

An open ,nationwide Student Contest on architectural- town planning project of developing the ground of former Wrzeszcz Brewery is under patronage of Mayor of Gdańsk Mr Paweł Adamowicz and J. M. Vice Chancellor of Gdańsk Polytechnic prof. Janusza Rachonia.
Since June 2007, CITYCULTURE has its residence in the building of former Brewery Management. GÓRSKI - Building Enterprise decision about establishing cooperation with our association, we understand as a good example of a common ground of thinking about modern city, linking culture and science with commercial activity, modernity with history, nature with innovative technologies, living-service function with dwelling in the city.
We are working on creating experimental platform of cooperation including many environments with use of innovative forms and modern technologies as to make it possible to integrate inhabitants of Lower Wrzeszcz with those who will be flooding in, in the future, to settle down in the district of former Brewery, which is under plans.
